Chris “Mad Dog” Russo had a miserable time sports betting over the Christmas weekend. 

Russo, who previously claimed earlier that he’s lost thousands of dollars betting on sports, went on a wild rant in his return to ESPN’s “First Take” Wednesday after a short holiday hiatus.

“An absolute disaster,” Russo said of his Christmas break sports betting showing. “On the day after Christmas — I don’t learn my lesson on Christmas Eve, and I bet the Chiefs on Christmas Day, by the way — I don’t learn my lesson, and the fat guy says, ‘Let’s go Rice on the moneyline at 5:30 on a [Tuesday] afternoon.

“I am a degenerate and a loser! I deserve to lose every penny! What an awful, awful, awful, awful job! God again, strike me down!” 

Russo conceded in November that he had lost somewhere in the area of $50,000-$100,000 through sports gambling after co-hosts Molly Qerim, Marcus Spears and Stephen A. Smith inquired about his losses after another on-air tirade.

A week after that embarrassing admission, Russo was furious after another lost bet. 

This time, it was betting on Iowa, which failed to go over their 2.5-point first-half total against Michigan, which Russo took the over on. 

Early during the college football season, Mad Dog laid out his Saturday sports betting plans during another “First Take” appearance when he bet on Colorado against Oregon and Florida State against Clemson. 

“Here’s what I’m doing this weekend … I will get a run in, take the two dogs, Bo and Riley, for a walk. At about 12 o’clock, I’ll sit down, make an early cocktail. Cut a gummy in half,” Russo said to shocked panelists.

With bowl season still in full swing, time will tell how Russo does.
