The Arizona Diamondbacks enter their series with the Colorado Rockies as the second-best team in the National League over their past 11 games, going 8-3 in that stretch. The Rockies are coming off a four-game series against the San Diego Padres in which they blew two leads of three or more runs in ninth inning.

For the Diamondbacks, starter Merrill Kelly has been terrific. He has gone at least seven innings in each of three June starts, posting an ERA of 0.81, issuing just 0.8 walks per nine innings and opponents hitting .156.

The Rockies’ team ERA in June is 5.98, much higher than the 4.04 of the Diamondbacks. Starting for Colorado is Antonio Senzatela, who has been highly volatile. His record is 5-5 despite a 5.48 ERA and 1.625 WHIP. He is giving up 4.1 walks per nine innings and over his past five starts, has given up six or more runs in two of them.

Senzetala has given up a home run in five out of his past six starts, it will be tough for him to hold down a hot Diamondbacks team that is averaging two homers per game in June.

The Play: Diamondbacks, -135.
