Kentucky has owned Missouri, going 13-1 all time against the Tigers. But the Wildcats never have entered into one of those matchups with a 5-10 record after a pause due to virus concerns, as they do Wednesday in Columbia, Mo.

Kentucky has been unable to sustain consistent play at the guard position. This is reflected in the team shooting 29 percent from 3-point range, ranking it 313th among Division I teams. The Wildcats also rate 280th in turnovers on a per-possession basis.

Missouri has had its own outside shooting woes, ranking 299th in 3-point shooting percentage. But the Tigers make up for it by getting to the free-throw line, ranking 16th in the country in free-throw attempts per offensive play. Five Tigers (Xavier Pinson, Dru Smith, Mark Smith, Javon Pickett and Mitchell Smith) shoot free throws at 81.3 percent or better.

Kentucky ranks 248th in the country in points scored on a per-possession basis and also gives tons of second chances on defense, ranking 267th in defensive rebound rate, while Missouri rebounds 29 percent of its missed shots.

The Wildcats lack a floor general, rating 297th in assist-to-turnover ratio, and with five-star recruit Terrence Clarke still “a few games away” from returning, Wednesday figures to be another tough night for Kentucky.
