There is no doubt about what the headliner is in the Premier League this weekend.

Two title contenders, Liverpool and Arsenal, will meet in at the Emirates on Sunday for a pivotal match that could put the Gunners in a tricky spot if the result doesn’t go their way.

Liverpool come into North London sitting atop the table with 21 points, putting them one ahead of Manchester City and four up on Arsenal, who will be desperate to stay within touching distance of their two rivals as we hurl towards November.

Bookmakers have installed Arsenal as a lukewarm +150 favorite on the three-way moneyline for Sunday’s match.

The most notable thing about Liverpool this season is how different the Reds are playing under Arne Slot.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were known for being a high-risk, high-reward outfit that wanted to put pressure on their opponents and force them to make mistakes.

Klopp’s Liverpool would bet on themselves in a back-and-forth encounter with just about any team in the world.

Under Slot, the script has been flipped.

Instead of playing chaotic, the Reds value control and possession in order to take the sting out of the game. The change in philosophy has worked so far as Liverpool is 7-0-1 (W-D-L) and has conceded just three goals in the Premier League.

Also notable is the fact that every Liverpool match in the Premier League has gone under the total.

Arsenal is no stranger to this kind of soccer as Mikel Arteta values control and managing the flow of a contest more than anything.

That becomes a little trickier given the injury situation at Arsenal, but those absences will likely force Arteta to approach this match even more conservatively.

Oftentimes when two elite clubs meet the expectation is for it to develop into an exciting contest because of the individual talent, but that just doesn’t seem likely in this case.

This match hits all the right notes for a low-event, snoozer. The draw is a savvy bet Sunday and you can take it a step further with a sprinkle on the nil-nil.
