This bettor’s stomach must’ve been in knots during the fourth quarter of Commanders-Bears on Sunday.

A bettor at Caesars Sportsbook had $120,000 on the Bears -2.5 on Sunday — per Ben Fawkes — a bet that was one play away from cashing.

With the ball at their own 48-yard-line and trailing by three with two seconds remaining, Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels threw a bomb 65-plus yards into the end zone that deflected off the fingers of Bears’ defenders and landed in the arms of wide-open receiver Noah Brown for an 18-15 win.

It marked an incredible wins for the Commanders, who now boast a 6-2 record and lead the NFC East, while the Bears suffered a brutal loss.

Losing $120,000 in that way might make this bettor the biggest loser of them all during Week 8.

This bettor definitely didn’t feel good when the Bears were down 12-0 while rookie quarterback Caleb Williams struggled.

Things surely only went from bad to worse when Bears coach Matt Eberflus decided to send an offensive lineman in to carry the ball on a third-and-goal at the one-yard line in the fourth quarter while trailing, 12-7.

Williams wound up fumbling the ball during the hand-off as the game appeared to be all but lost.

Chicago’s defense stood up and got a three and out, which led to to a touchdown drive and a two-point conversion to take a 15-12 lead and put the cover in play when hope had seemed lost.

And then one of the craziest plays of the season happened.

This bet wasn’t without some problems, though.

The bettor missed the best line by a bit since Bears laying 2.5 point was set when Daniels was not expected not to play.

With Daniels surprisingly playing, the Commanders moved to 1.5-point favorites.

Ultimately, the Bears did not cover either spread as the Hail Mary was successful and anyone that wagered on Chicago got their heart ripped out on the game’s final play. .
