The NFL season hasn’t even begun yet, but it appears the Comeback Player of the Year award is already decided.
After officially being cleared to resume football activities, Bills safety Damar Hamlin has made an unprecedented move up the board, going as high as a -1000 favorite to win the award Tuesday on Caesars Sportsbook before being pulled with massive bets coming in.
DraftKings is the only book still offering wagers on this award, with Hamlin at -650 to win it.

The excitement for his return is obviously palpable, and these odds are a handicap of how bookmakers believe voters will vote on the award.
Assistant athletic trainer Denny Kellington, who performed life-saving CPR on Hamlin, received a fifth-place MVP vote last season.

But it is far from a lock – Hamlin still needs to make the team for the Bills and get on the field.
One can safely assume, though, that if Hamlin makes it through 17 games, the award will be his to lose.
