It appears that oddsmakers have an idea which team DeAndre Hopkins will play for during the 2023 NFL season.
The Tennessee Titans are now favorites to bring in Hopkins after merely being in the mix a day ago.
The odds of Tennessee landing the star wide receiver moved from +500 on Tuesday to -300 as of Wednesday evening, according to bookmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook.
They shifted more toward the field hours later when the Titans odds’ to get him dropped to -125, followed by the Patriots (+150) and Chiefs (+300).
No other team having odds better than +1000 as of this writing.
The Titans previously had the third-best odds to be Hopkins’ next destination behind the then-favorited New England and Buffalo Bills.
There has been a bit of buzz about Hopkins potentially landing in Tennessee over the past week or so, which may have moved the odds.
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins still has not signed with a new team. Getty ImagesLast Sunday, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported the Titans had been “more aggressive” in their pursuit than New England, though Hopkins was open to waiting out his free agency sweepstakes.
Former NFL general manager Mike Lombardi also said Monday he thinks that Hopkins is headed to the Titans.
Hopkins would immediately slot in as Tennessee’s top receiver, giving Ryan Tannehill one of the top targets of his career.

After winning 11 and 12 games in 2020 and 2021, respectively, Tannehill went 6-6 in 12 starts last season, partly thanks to the losses of A.J. Brown and Julio Jones.
Tannehill’s completion percentage, yards per game and QBR all took a dip, and adding Hopkins could help him get back to his pre-2022 self.
