Week 1 NFL player props! Felt like you would never read that again after a long offseason? Well, believe it. It’s here.

It’s a sea of NFL prop bets this week for a loaded opener. Whether you are betting on all of these individually or looking for an additional leg or two for your parlay, Week 1 has plenty of action to offer. Get pumped.

Best Week 1 NFL player prop bets, picks

James Conner ‘Under’ 4.5 receptions -135 (BetMGM)

Conner went over this number only four times in 16 games played last season, including the playoffs. In 2020 as the sole running back for the Steelers, Conner had five catches or more three times in 14 games. That’s a grand total of 7 for 30, or 23.3 percent of games he has crossed this threshold.

The Chiefs’ defense will probably be a sanctuary for opposing running backs to produce, and everyone on the field should get a bump in targets with DeAndre Hopkins out and Rondale Moore looking unlikely. Still, 4.5 is asking a lot.

Justin Herbert ‘Over’ 2.5 passing touchdowns +150 (BetMGM)

This number is 1.5, juiced to -191 on PointsBet. If you want something slightly less risky, that’s your ticket. In an expected shootout with a massive 52.5 total point projection, Justin Herbert is in a spot to let it loose on Sunday. The Raiders gave up the ninth most passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in the NFL last season.

Marcus Mariota ‘Under’ 217.5 passing yards -103 (Caesars) | ‘Under’ 28.5 pass attempts -105 (BetMGM)

Oddsmakers have plenty of respect for Marcus Mariota; that’s nice. I’ll take his unders. Pro Football Focus ranked the Saints’ defense second in the NFL last season, and this Falcons’ offense is Kyle Pitts and a dumpster fire.

Mariota has thrown less than 29 pass attempts in 16 of his last 20 career starts. Perhaps the Falcons could let him loose and have him air it out, but that’s just a losing strategy. They should utilize his legs.

Betting on the NFL?

Trevor Lawrence ‘Over’ 1.5 passing touchdowns +130 (FanDuel)

You’re free now; Urban Meyer can’t control you anymore. Trevor Lawrence battles the league-worst Washington Commanders pass defense, who averaged two passing touchdowns allowed per game in 2021 (most in the NFL). Even better, Chase Young is not playing.

Lawrence is the prince who was promised — the one to finally save the Jaguars franchise. It starts Week 1.
