Oakland Raiders (+3) over DENVER BRONCOS: The Raiders are miraculously still alive for a possible wild-card spot (needing the Titans and Steelers to both lose and the Colts to win to help with the tiebreaker), so I’m actually a little surprised the Broncos are favored, but I’ll take the bonus points. While the Broncos certainly have been playing well down the stretch (3-1 straight up and against the spread in their past four games), I still rate the Raiders as the better team and also like that they won the first meeting, 24-16, but are now getting points.
Washington Redskins (+11) over DALLAS COWBOYS: After losing 17-9 to the Eagles on Sunday, the Cowboys now must win this game and hope the Eagles lose to the Giants to make the playoffs. The Cowboys covered in a 31-21 win in their first meeting in Week 2, so they could blow out the Redskins, but I’m betting against it (and a 10-point margin would cover this inflated spread). The Redskins have been playing better the past five weeks (3-2 ATS). That includes the bad beat they had vs. the Eagles two weeks ago, and taking the Giants to overtime before failing to cover. Besides, Case Keenum isn’t a downgrade from Dwayne Haskins, so I expect this to be a lot closer than the blowout a lot of people are expecting.
Last week: 1-1. Browns (L). Packers (W).
Season: 15-16-1.
