Few pitchers have a better ERA at Coors than elsewhere, but Colorado Rockies starter Jon Gray is one of the few and will look to keep things going on Monday against the San Diego Padres.
Gray has a lifetime 30-13 record with nine strikeouts per nine innings and a 4.44 ERA at home while posting a 19-26 record and a 4.58 ERA in road games.
The Padres will counter with Dinelson Lamet, who was fourth in the 2020 Cy Young voting with 12.1 strikeouts and 5.1 hits allowed per nine innings along with a 3-1 record and 2.48 ERA, but injuries have limited him to four total innings across two starts to begin this season.
The Padres bullpen entered Sunday having pitched the most innings of any bullpen in the National League, but had posted the best ERA of any National League bullpen in support of an offense that had scored four runs or fewer in four straight games entering Sunday.
With the Padres ranking 27th in the league in percentage of at-bats that result in a home run and the team allowing the second-fewest home runs per nine innings in the National League, a rare low scoring game figures to be on tap in Coors Field on Monday.
The Play: Padres vs. Rockies, Under 8.0 runs.
