Green Bay (3-3) seeks to end a two-game losing streak while figuring things out offensively after a 27-10 home loss to the New York Jets last week. The Commanders (2-4), who are coming off a 12-7 road win against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 13, are extra rested but managing a sudden shakeup at quarterback after an injury to Carson Wentz.

Commanders vs. Packers picks and analysis
Is this a get-well game for the reeling Packers as they open a three-game road trip that continues with stops at Buffalo and Detroit? They certainly need it to be.
Washington, meantime, is again optimistic after snapping a four-game losing streak last week but now faces a change at quarterback amid bubbling turmoil in the owner’s box. Taylor Heinicke is back behind center for the Commanders and helped Washington compete in this matchup last year, including 10 carries for 95 yards on the ground.
Aaron Rodgers Getty ImagesPackers -4.5
With starter Carson Wentz fracturing his right ring finger during the loss to Chicago, Taylor Heinicke will get the call under center for Washington. Heinicke isn’t your average backup, however. He completed 65 percent of his passes last season for 3,419 yards with 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions and is a veteran of a playoff start following the 2020 campaign.
Heinicke’s mobility, coupled with a multi-pronged Washington running game, could continue to give the Packers’ shoddy run defense some headaches. Still, even a struggling Aaron Rodgers gets the edge over anyone the Commanders could put at QB, and Washington surrendered nearly 400 yards last week.
Rodgers has thrown for 16 touchdowns against just one interception in seven career starts against Washington, including the playoffs.

Romeo Doubs over 46.5
Allen Lazard leads the Packers with 285 yards and four touchdowns, but Romeo Doubs is tops among Green Bay receivers with 26 receptions while hauling in two scores.
The rookie had just 21 yards receiving on four catches against the Jets after averaging at least 9.1 yards per catch in each previous game.
Washington touts a solid defensive line, but is in the bottom third in yards per pass attempt allowed. Look for Doubs to find some daylight and regroup

Taylor Heinicke under .5 interceptions (+105)
Although Green Bay is tops in the NFL with 164.0 passing yards allowed per game, the Packers’ secondary has shown vulnerability in other areas. The unit either ranks 32nd — or is tied for 32nd — in interceptions (one), completion percentage against (70.9) and passes defended (12).
Heinicke played effectively during a Week 7 loss at Green Bay last season, passing for 268 yards with a touchdown and interception while rushing for 95 yards. Considering his history of poise and a strong, complementary running game, he stands a good chance of staying away from a pick here.
Pick: Taylor Heinicke under 0.5 interceptions, @ +105 via BetMGM
