An inexcusable coaching error by Greg McDermott in the final seconds of regulation led to an overtime loss to Marquette and contributed to Creighton’s four-game losing streak.

The Bluejays finally stopped the skid Monday with a 91-87 win at Georgetown as Ty-Shon Alexander made six 3-pointers.

This is not a bad Creighton team, and this is a payback spot versus Butler. The Bluejays were routed 84-69 at Butler on Jan. 5. The Bulldogs, led by slashing guard Kamar Baldwin, are a much better team when playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This is a good time to back the Bluejays. It’s a sandwich spot for Butler, which played host to Villanova on Tuesday and has Marquette on deck.
