Missouri sports betting is about to experience its first Super Bowl.

The journey to live sports betting was a long, winding one for the Show-Me State, but it is now in full swing, and anybody who wants action can choose from a plethora of sportsbooks. Like in plenty of other states, Missourians will have plenty of choices between sports betting apps.

And one of the local college basketball teams, St. Louis, is off to a roaring start. The Billikens have won 19 of their first 20 games and find themselves ranked inside the top 25 as we get within six weeks of March Madness.

A relative newcomer to the sports betting landscape, Fanatics is trying to play catchup with the industry titans by offering a unique rewards program centered around its “FanCash” initiative.

Like other sportsbooks, Fanatics will offer rewards points for money spent in its sportsbook, but what sets it apart is that you can use “FanCash” anywhere in the company’s ecosystem, like to buy a shirt or a hat.

Whether or not this initiative works remains to be seen, but Fanatics has been gaining marginal ground on competitors behind DraftKings and FanDuel.

Of course, none of this would matter if Fanatics didn’t have a decent platform, which it does. It’s not as sleek or straightforward as some of the other offerings, but it is still easy to use and doesn’t feature any real issues.

Fanatics doesn’t offer the widest range of betting options compared to some of the other operators, but most bettors stick to the more mainstream sports, so it’s not a dealbreaker for most users.

BetMGM is still a clear third in the pecking order behind FanDuel and DraftKings, but it’s not because their offerings are less impressive.

Although their app isn’t as user-friendly as bet365, it is still easy to navigate. It’s hard to get lost on BetMGM’s platform.

In addition, BetMGM offers competitive promotional offerings and often has more player-friendly prices compared to the two juggernauts in the industry.

Like bet365, BetMGM offers a wide menu of betting options, so if you’re into niche sports like tennis, cricket, or rugby, you can feel confident that you’ll find what you’re looking for at BetMGM.

FanDuel is one of the two behemoths in the industry thanks to an early headstart as one of the flagship DFS companies in the United States.

FanDuel’s app and website delivers a smooth and straightforward experience for sports bettors of all levels. Its design is clean and intuitive, making it easy to find your way around, whether you’re placing a quick moneyline bet or browsing props for an upcoming game.

FanDuel offers a variety of sports and betting options for users to choose between. From the mainstream leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL to college sports, soccer, golf, and international events, FanDuel covers just about everything you’d expect from one of the world’s biggest sportsbook.

FanDuel also offers an extensive range of bet types, including traditional options like spreads and totals, to the more exotic like same-game parlays, alternate lines, and player props.

DraftKings has built one of the biggest sports betting operations in the world, but it had a massive headstart thanks to its launch as a DFS operator over a decade ago.

Since then, DraftKings has grown to become one of the biggest companies in the entire sports ecosystem, not just in the betting industry.

The pros for DraftKings are built on convenience. It’s widely available, easy to use, and the app is quick. There are more than enough betting options to satisfy most sports bettors, too.

The downside is that DraftKings will tend to offer less appealing pricing on bets compared to other sites. That is a dealbreaker for plenty of seasoned bettors, but casual punters may not care about a two-cent difference enough to shop around.

Caesars Sportsbook has a solid, if unspectacular platform for sports bettors. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s an easy to use app and website that has very few nuisances.

Like the other competitors, it offers a comprehensive betting catalog that should satisfy casual bettors and seasoned players alike.

The app’s perfromance is up to standards, with quick-loading pages and an intuitive live-betting experience. The navigation is straightforward, and depositing is simple enough, with plenty of payment methods. It’s all a relatively fricitonless experience.

Caesars also integrates its well-known rewards program, allowing users to earn Caesars Rewards points for every wager.

Although it may not carry the same weight as gaming giants like DraftKings or FanDuel here in the Untied States, bet365 sportsbook is one of the world’s biggest sports betting companies.

It’s pretty easy to see why.

A company that’s been around, and successful, for as long as bet365 has will know how to be successful in the betting industry, which is notoriously competitive.

It’s clear that bet365 values both new and returning users.

The official launch, or “go-live” date for sports betting in Missouri is Dec. 1, 2025. Residents cannot place any wagers before that day, though they can pre-register at sportsbooks beginning on Nov. 17 at 12 a.m.

The point of the pre-registration period is to give potential users the opportunity to sign up, verify their identities, and research different operators before the market fully opens.

Starting on Dec. 1, 2025, Missourians can place bets online or at retail sportsbooks.

Sports betting became legal in Missouri after voters approved Amendment 2, also known as the Sports Betting Initiative of Missouri, on November 5, 2024. The Amendment passed by a narrow margin, but it got over the line and allowed the state to amend its constitution to create a legal framework for sports betting.

The lawmakers decided on a 10 percent tax on gross betting revenue. The proceeds from that tax will be used for responsible gambling initiatives and public education.

Like with most other states that have legalized betting, Missourians can wager on a wide menu of sports. The NFL remains king and will do the most business behind the window, but other popular options include NBA, NHL, college football, college basketball, and soccer.

Sports like tennis, MMA, and golf are also growing popular with bettors.
