Welch’s Fruit Snacks have wrappers boasting blueberries, cherries and grapes — none of which are contained in the actual product, according to a $5 million Brooklyn lawsuit.

Plaintiff Charles Jones says the product’s labeling is tricking consumers into thinking they’re eating lots of real fruit when in reality it’s a pittance, and besides, the fiber that the snack provides is from chickory root.

Charles Jones filed the class-action lawsuit in Brooklyn federal court against Welch’s and their manufacturer, Promotion in Motion Inc.

Welch’s gives the “impression that their snacks are nutritious, healthy, satiating and composed of non-synthetic ingredients, because all of these attributes apply to ‘real fruit,’ ” which is misleading at best, the suit says.

Welch’s did not respond to a request for comment.
