Media entrepreneur and ABC News’ chief legal eagle Dan Abrams celebrated his 50th birthday in style last week.

Abrams invited guests including Discovery Communications boss David Zaslav; journalists Katie Couric, Savannah Guthrie and former Hearst chief Cathie Black; and, billionaire activist investor Dan Loeb to a wine tasting of 1966 Bordeaux — bottled the year Abrams was born.

We hear the favorites were the Chateau Leoville Barton and the Pape Clement.

CNN’s Don Lemon showed up after his show at 12:05 a.m., just as the party was winding down, but Abrams tells On the Money, “We went from sipping to a few of us basically chugging the rest of the Bordeaux.”
