Brian Chesky, the Airbnb co-founder and CEO, took some good-natured pokes at his company’s controversial new logo.
Cheskey, speaking on a panel at the Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit in San Francisco on Thursday, said some people thought it looked like “an ear,” The Post’s Keith J. Kelly reports.
Chesky said his favorite Twitter comment was someone who wrote: “Show me where on the Airbnb logo the bad man touched you.”
But, he said, “If I was afraid of controversy, I would not have started Airbnb.”
Since Airbnb operates in 190 countries, executives did not want to use a word, so the logo is “so simple, that it can be replicated,” Chesky said. “Anyone can draw it.”
