Airline stocks climbed high Thursday after President Trump met with executives from major airlines as well as airport operators and service providers, and promised lower taxes and to improve infrastructure for the industry.

Trump said the current air traffic control system is “out of whack.”

Shares of Southwest Airlines jumped 3 percent, to $54.52, American Airlines also popped 3 percent, to $46.30, and Delta Air Lines ascended 2.6 percent, ending the day at $49.33.
