Amazon’s Prime Video app has finally arrived on Apple TV.
The Seattle-based web giant’s popular streaming app made its debut on Apple’s living room fixture on Wednesday, signaling a thaw in the testy relationship between the tech giants.
Previously, Apple TV owners were unable to stream any of the movies or shows on Amazon Prime Video through their box. Instead, they were forced to either purchase a separate streaming device — an Amazon Fire TV, for example — or watch on their computers or phones.
Wednesday’s truce, however, hasn’t yet resulted in the Apple TV returning for sale on Amazon’s site, which removed it in 2015.
Google signaled that its move was in retaliation for Amazon’s refusal to sell some Google products that compete with Amazon gadgets.
“Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and Fire TV,” Google said in a Tuesday statement.
