AMC’s sales soar in Q2
Amc Networks, the cable-network operator that airs “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” had its biggest gain since its June spinoff from Cablevision after sales beat analysts’ estimates.
AMC rose 13 percent, to $34.31 yesterday. Second-quarter sales climbed 12 percent to $292 million. Analysts predicted $283.4 million. Net income rose to $27.2 million from $22.1 million.
AMC, formerly known as Rainbow Media, owns television channels IFC, WE tv, Sundance Channel and AMC.
