Argentina’s crying all right — in a full-page newspaper ad.
The ad Sunday in the New York Times charged the US Supreme Court and Manhattan federal judge Thomas Griesa threaten to “push the country to a new default.”
Last week, the high court upheld Griesa’s ruling that Argentina must pay “holdout” investors when it makes a payment to “restructured” bondholders who accepted massive haircuts when the country defaulted on $81 billion in private debt in 2001.
