Wells Fargo said it won dismissal of a lawsuit by Baltimore claiming its lending practices led to foreclosures that harmed the city.

US District Judge Frederick Motz in Baltimore threw out the case, Wells Fargo said in a statement.

“We have consistently maintained that Baltimore’s economic problems could not be attributed to the small number of foreclosures Wells Fargo has done in Baltimore,” Cara Heiden, of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, said.

Similar cases in Birmingham, Alabama, and Cleveland also have been dismissed.
