RICHFIELD, Minn. — Best Buy will close another 42 stores by May 12 as part of its restructuring effort, the company said Saturday.

Best Buy had said in March it will close 50 stores this year, and has already shuttered two and notified six others that they will be closed. California has the largest number of closures at seven stores.

The Richfield, Minn.-based company did not say how many employees will be affected by the announcement.
