Federal prosecutors yesterday said they will call Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein to testify in the trial of one of his former directors, Rajat Gupta, who is battling insider trading charges. Blankfein can take the witness stand as early as Monday.

The defense said it has lined up more than a dozen witnesses, including high-profile banking analyst Meredith Whitney.
