Celebrity chef Daniel Boulud’s right-hand woman for almost two decades has left and is launching her own dream restaurant — right in Boulud’s posh Upper East Side neighborhood.
Georgette Farkas, a French-speaking Harvard grad and member of the Farkas real estate dynasty, has signed a lease and will open Rotisserie Georgette at 14 E. 60th St. — in the spot that used to house the Copacabana.
Farkas had been director of marketing and PR at Boulud’s Dinex group, where she also unofficially served as head of his brain trust.
Construction will begin in a few weeks, with a fall opening scheduled.
