Apple said US cus tomers who ordered the 3G models of its iPad yesterday won’t receive the tablet computer until May 7, as the com pany clambers to meet demand.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Sander Levin (D-Mich.) said he wants to take up a broad tax code overhaul starting in 2011, but said the much-discussed value- added tax is “not on the agenda.”
