Euro bounce
The euro fell to a four- year low before closing up 0.2 percent against the dollar at $1.2340. US stocks edged back led by the Dow Jones industrial average rising 5.67 to close at 10,625.83. Crude- oil prices fell to the low est point since December — down $1.53 to $70.08 a barrel.
Kumar pays
Former McKinsey & Co. director Anil Kumar agreed to pay $2.8 million to settle civil allegations of insider trading brought by the SEC.
Bid revoked
A consortium made up of Blackstone Group, TPG Capital and Thomas H. Lee Partners consider ing a bid on Fidelity Na tional decided to back away from the bank serv ices company because of a disagreement over price.
Icahn appeal
Investor Carl Icahn ap pealed a bankruptcy court decision to let Donald Trump and his bond holder partners take con trol of three casinos in Atlantic City.
Buffett cut
Warren Buffett’s Berk shire Hathaway report edly sold over 30 million shares in Kraft Foods in the first quarter. Buffett was critical of CEO Irene Rosenfeld’s purchase of Cadbury.
