Greece ‘junk’

US stocks slipped yes terday after Moody’s slashed Greece’s credit rating to “junk” status. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 20.18 to close at 10,190.89, the S&P 500 slipped 1.97 to 1,089.63, and the Nasdaq rose 0.36 to 2,243.96.

Citi announced yester day that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Canadian Master Card business to the Ca nadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

News Corp. is seeking to buy the 61 percent stake of UK satellite-tele vision company British Sky Broadcasting Group that it doesn’t own, according to people fa miliar with the matter.

Sprint warns

Sprint Nextel said lap top customers using an excessive amount of mo bile data while roaming could have their accounts temporarily suspended, though the carrier still doesn’t plan to limit the wireless connection for its high- volume smart phone customers.

Rim moves

Research in Motion is testing a touch- screen smartphone with a slide- out keyboard and experi menting with a tablet de vice in attempt to stay even with Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
