A former co-head of UBS AG’s muni deriva tives group faces a fraud charge tied to a $100,000 kickback for steering an investment agreement with a US state to an other bank. Peter Gha vami, a Belgian national, was arrested Dec. 1 at JFK Airport, the US Justice Department said.

Miramax deal

Ron Tutor said that the group of investors he leads closed on a deal to buy Miramax Films from The Walt Disney Co. for $660 million. Barclays led the financing.

Trib suit

Tribune Co. creditors sued CFO Chandler Bige low in US Bankruptcy Court, seeking to recoup more than $1.6 million they claim he improperly received as an insider within a year of the com pany seeking bankruptcy protection.
