Chugging
The Commerce Dept. said gross domestic prod uct grew at an annualized rate of 2.8 percent in the fourth quarter, a down ward revision from 3.2 percent last month.
Ad rise
Ad giant Interpublic signaled a strong rebound in advertising in 2011, forecasting revenue growth of 4 percent to 5 percent. It said fourth- quarter net income soared 51 percent to $195 million.
Moody’s exec
Yuri Yoshizawa, man aging director of global structured credit at Moody’s Investors Serv ice, who oversaw its credit ratings of collater alized debt obligations during the financial crisis, has resigned, a report on wsj.com said.
Caesars loss
Caesars Entertainment posted a fourth-quarter loss of $196.7 million, on revenue of $2.12 billion, compared with net in come of $295.6 million a year ago. Caesars oper ates casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Gas pain
The average price for regular gasoline at the pump jumped 5.9 cents to $3.287 a gallon, AAA said. Prices have risen 9.3 cents in two days and 13.1 cents from a week ago.
