Delta squared
Delta Air Lines is studying US Airways as a possible acquisition target, people familiar with the matter said. Delta has been assessing a similar move for much-larger American Airlines parent AMR.
Viacom bonus
Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman received a $20 million bonus for the year ended Sept. 30, 2011, a filing revealed. That compares to an $11.25 million bonus he got in the shortened prior fiscal year.
Cable catfight
After Time Warner Cable reported a 44 percent earnings gain, the National Association of Broadcasters called out the cable operator for claiming that demands for higher fees from pay-TV providers are driving up cable rates.
