Cablevision cut off
Cable operator Cablevision said about half of its 3.3 million customers in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey had lost power after superstorm Sandy, causing disruptions to its service.
Cablevision said yesterday that 1.6 million customers were without power while 7,265 of the remaining 1.65 million customers had no access to service for other reasons.
It said it had crews working to restore service and would continue to provide updates.
