New Jersey will give developers of the stalled Revel Atlantic City casino as much as $261 million in tax reimbursements as Governor Chris Christie seeks to restart the project and lure additional investment.

Developers of the half-built, 53-story casino will get back as much as 20 percent of $1.3 billion in construction costs over 20 years, under a plan approved yesterday by the state’s Economic Development Authority.
