On the Money caught up with Condé Nast Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff at the Cannes Lions festival to discuss the company’s mobile entertainment destination, The Scene, and a virtual reality project she’s working on with advertisers.
Ostroff told us about a handful of projects she has in the hopper, including “Invisible,” one of the first scripted narrative VR series, which is being directed by Doug Liman, whose credits include “Bourne Identity” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” The series is made with partners Jaunt and Samsung, and will be out in September on the Samsung VR platform.
Ostroff is also producing “Granite Mountain,” a story based on a GQ magazine article about 19 firefighters who achieve elite status. The movie is going into production this summer and stars Josh Brolin, Miles Teller and Jennifer Connolly. Lionsgate distributes.
