Curtains for ‘POP’
A day after Zynga purged 520 employees, shutting down its Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York offices, ex-employees took to Twitter to lament the closing of OMGPOP’s office.
“I learned via Facebook I was laid off today and @OMGPOP office is closed,” tweeted Ali Nicolas, a former VP.Zynga bought OMGPOP for almost $200 million last year as the company was riding high on its “Draw Something” game.
In April, CEO Dan Porter left the company. Zynga has not said whether it will continue the OMGPOP gaming portal or brand.
