Dauman’s 40% raise
Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman, after guiding the media company through a turbulent 2009, has received a 40 percent raise, to $3.5 million, according to papers filed by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The news comes one day after he inked a five-year contract extension through 2016.
In addition, the 56-year-old saw his annual cash bonus target jump 26 percent to $12 million, the SEC file noted. The bonus is based on the company hitting certain performance goals.
Dauman succeeded Tom Freston in September 2006.
Viacom shares closed Friday at $38.58, down $1.07.
