Demandware, the e-commerce software provider that counts Barneys New York and Crocs as customers, surged 47 percent in its trading debut after selling shares for more than planned in an initial public offering.

The stock rose to $23.59 at the close in New York, giving the company a market value of $660.5 million.

Demandware’s programs help retailers create and manage websites.
