Dish Network is asking US regulators to suspend review of the proposed acquisition of Sprint Nextel by SoftBank for $20.1 billion, saying its own, $25.5 billion counter-bid is preferable for US national security reasons.
In the filing, Dish pointed to SoftBank’s foreign origin, saying that the Japanese company lacked its “existing in-market infrastructure.”
