Economist Nouriel Roubini came out last week with a party line.

The New York University professor agreed with Chinese central bankers’ assertion that the dollar should not be the world’s reserve currency.

Roubini, known as Dr. Doom for his early warnings on the credit crisis, said that the dollar’s strength abroad will hamper the US recovery.

Roubini speaking on the US economy said on CNBC, “The green shoots everyone talks about are more like yellow weeds to me.”
