Stocks finished higher Monday but well off the day’s highs, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 Index logging their first gains in three sessions.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 37 points, or 0.3 percent, to end at 10,854.65 and the S&P 500 added 0.29 point, or 0.03 percent, to end at 1,123.82.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 3.54 points, or 0.2 percent, to 2,345.38, finishing higher for the first time in five sessions.
