Crooked lawyer Marc Dreier’s ex-wife is off the hook for an unpaid loan the fraudster took out more than a decade ago.
Saleh Holdings sued Elisa Dreier in Manhattan Bankruptcy Court last year as an alleged guarantor for the bad debt after her ex-hubby stopped making payments following his 2008 arrest in a $400 million Ponzi scheme.
But the company — which only got back $55,000 of the $550,000 note — dropped its claim after a judge ruled that a six-year statute of limitations had expired.
Lawyer Richard Roth said Elisa Dreier was completely unaware of the loan until she got slapped with the suit, and that “it’s a mystery as to who signed her name” to the papers.
