Motorola sold as many as 800,000 Droids since their Nov. 6 debut with Verizon Wireless, taking on Apple’s iPhone for holiday sales, an analyst estimated.
The figures put Motorola’s smart phone, which runs on Google’s Android operating system, on track to sell 1 million units in the fourth quarter, RBC Capital Markets said in a note.
