Dunkin’ Brands long-time CEO Nigel Travis held his first-ever post-earnings franchisee conference call Thursday in what he described as an effort to improve communications.

The British-raised Travis, though, seemed a bit tone-deaf while addressing the largely blue-collar group.

He thanked the franchisees for doing a better job at customer service than British Airways, recalling a trip to Dubai in which British Airways lost his luggage.
