EMI Group is negotiating the exit of Jason Flom, who oversees its recorded-music operations in North America as chairman of Capitol Music Group, The Wall Street Journal reported on it s Web site, citing sources.

The talks come on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Capitol Music Group President Lee Trink will soon step down.
