Epix, the new movie channel from Viacom, Lionsgate Entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer plans to begin service on Oct. 30, vying for viewers with HBO and Showtime.
“Iron Man,” the film from Marvel Entertainment will air opening night, Epix said in an e-mailed statement.
Programming will begin on Verizon’s FiOS service the company said.
