EX-CITI BANKER FINGERED
A former top investment banker at Citigroup is accused of giving valuable insider tips to friends and family on merger deals in 2007.
Maher Kara, 37, an ex-director in Citigroup Global Markets, allegedly leaked details about more than 20 Citi takeovers, which netted upwards of $6 million in illegal profits for the scheme’s participants, according to the SEC and the Justice Department.
