Filene’s Basement Inc., the clothing chain that agreed to sell itself to the Men’s Wearhouse Inc., is facing an objection from the initial bidder approved to purchase its assets.

Crown Acquisitions said in a filing yesterday in US Bankruptcy Court that bidding procedures had not been properly followed in an auction for the Filene’s assets.
