FinReg vote
US Sen. Charles Grassley, an Iowa Republican, said he will oppose the financial-regulation bill when it comes up for a final vote as soon as today, saying the final measure doesn’t go far enough in scrutinizing the Fed and curbing credit-raters’ conflicts of interest.
To ensure passage, the White House must hold on to the support of three Republicans: Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine and Scott Brown of Massachusetts.
