While Ford’s total January sales slipped 6.6 percent, it can’t make enough of its luxury Navigator SUV — which carries a price tag of as much as $100,000.

The 2018 Navigator, which started shipping to dealers in December, is selling so fast the company is having trouble meeting demand.

“We could have sold a lot more in January if we had them,” Mark LaNeve, Ford US marketing, sales and service vice president, said on a Thursday conference call.

The latest Navigator marked the first redesign in a decade, which is likely what sparked the demand.

More than eight in 10 buyers are going for the most expensive models — the Black Label and Reserve — which cost around $100,000 and $90,000, respectively, LaNeve said.

Sales of the Navigator were up 97.5 percent in January — however, they make up less than 1 percent of Ford’s total sales.

Total Lincoln SUV sales fell almost 20 percent.
