Fox ad boss Toby Byrne warned a room of media agencies and their clients to choose Fox’s premium content across its many platforms and stay away from “crappy online video.”
Byrne, making a pitch for Fox’s new fall lineup Monday alongside Fox co-chiefs Dana Walden and Gary Newman, added that some online ads don’t even fill the screen.
Networks are facing a drain of dollars away from traditional TV toward a growing host of online video operators from YouTube to Yahoo.
