FOX TAPS PROGRAM EXECUTIVE
Less than two months after being pushed out as programming chief at ratings-challenged NBC, Kevin Reilly has landed a job at Fox Broadcasting.
Fox, a unit of News Corp., which also owns The Post, yesterday named Reilly president of entertainment, putting him in charge of programming.
He will report to Peter Liguori, who was promoted to chairman of the unit.
The pair worked together from 2002 to 2003 at News Corp.’s FX cable network, where they developed hits such as “The Shield” and “Nip/Tuck.”
At NBC, Reilly was behind the popular comedies “Heroes” and “Deal or No Deal,” but his efforts weren’t enough to lift the network from the bottom of the ratings heap among the big four TV networks during his three-year run.
He had just signed a new three-year contract before departing NBC.
Reilly was replaced by TV whiz Ben Silverman, who brought hits like “Ugly Betty” to the network.
